Mike and Josie Kirkham's -
Friday 16th May 2008

Well, what an evening!
From the Champagne and canapés to the 'Un Petit Assiette Gourmand' we traveled through a food expedition of the highest quality.

Mike & Josie exceeded last years 'BIG K' evening with the following menu:

Smoked haddock and asparagus open ravioli with asparagus veloute
Mille Feuille de Confit de Canard
Slow Roasted Boned Leg of Organic Norfolk Lamb

Smoked Haddock and English Asparagus open Ravioli from "Gordon Ramsey - Secrets"
Mille Feuille de Confit de Canard from " Raymond Blanc - Cooking for Friends"
Butternut Squash and Parmesan Soup from " Galton Blackiston - Cooking at Morston Hall"
Pan Fried Black Sea Bream with Endive Salad and Tomato Salsa - "James Chant"
Slow Roasted Boned Leg of Organic Norfolk Lamb with Roasted Lemon and Garlic Vegetable and Dauphinoise Potatoes from "Jamie Olive - Article"
Selection of Cheeses
Un Petit Assiette Gourmand  - "Josie"

Mmm - red, white...water!!!
So much wine, so little time!
Nick Mills swots up on his wine knowledge!

We enjoyed 6 wines to compliment the above dishes (plus a dessert wine if you could stomach it!)
4 French and 2 Spanish - please don't ask me what they were as by 12am I was a little 'squiffy' and just about managed to get into the taxi!
(Mike, if you've just about finished clearing/washing up, perhaps you could confirm the wines we quaffed - thanks!)

If you were unable to come this time don't miss next years - EH, MIKE & JOSIE!!!

Julie, Andrew & Kate
What is he grabbing?!!
Mel, David, Lee, Maggie and Peter
What's wrong with me shirt?
Getting ready for the onslaught!
Our youth policy!!

"Millefeuille de confit de Canard"
Josie & Maggie
Anybody guess what this was...?

More swotting up....
I think I've pulled!
Why did we do it Josie?
